About Curbside Urban Festival

Dr. Abel Razo, the Senior Pastor of Curbside Community Church in Adelanto, first had the idea for the festival in 2020, but was cut short due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Razo planned to commemorate the 9/11 tragedy by honoring our countrymen who lost their lives at the Twin Towers in New York City on September 11, 2001, and the families that they left behind. Dr. Razo has now partnered with Glasshouse Entertainment, local governments, first responders, National speakers, renowned music artists, the Native American community, Hall of Fame Skaters, United States veterans, local California High Desert businesses, school districts, partners, advocates, volunteers, international leaders, and concerned citizens who want a transformation for their local High Desert community.

Dr. Razo created Glasshouse Entertainment and partnered with Dr. Robert Battle Ax Ornelas (Thump Records, Universal Music Group, Lowrider Magazine) to see this vision come to pass. Ornelas and Razo have partnered to organize the Curbside Urban Festival & 9/11 Tribute, SOG Academy Bible College, and Urban & Native American Missions. They are currently helping Native American communities with Off Grid Energy solutions in Arizona, Oklahoma, Florida, and California.

Ornelas and Razo recently received The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden and The White House. The award recognizes individuals, families, or groups who complete more than 4,000 hours of documented volunteer service in their lifetime.

“Our speakers for the festival are experts in their field of community advocacy, and prison chaplaincy with an understanding of how to speak to urban audiences, motivating and inspiring listeners for decades. All our speakers have experience sharing messages at big venue events, crusades, and festivals throughout the world.

This year, we also want to offer a diverse range of musical experiences to the community at the festival. We plan to showcase Spanish music, oldies, pop, alternative rock, country, hip-hop, and worship music. By providing a variety of musical genres, we aim to appeal to a wide audience and create an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all festival attendees.

We invite all people to join us Septer 6-8,” stated Ornelas
